The Whiddon Group’s Easton Park Aged Care Community in Sydney's South West, includes residential aged care homes, retirement living units and a range of onsite services and amenities.

Grindley were engaged by The Whiddon Group to build the stage one of the New Sir David Martin Residential Aged Care Facility.

The new three level facility comprises 78 bedrooms, all with private ensuites, dining rooms, serveries, lounge rooms, sitting rooms, a reception, a café, courtyards and staff facilities. A linkway on both levels one and two connects the Sir David Martin building with the existing Taylor House. The facility also includes a basement carpark, landscaping to the courtyards and external areas, concrete footpaths and an asphalt driveway.

This facility will soon be joined by stage two, which is now under construction. The second stage of the development requires the demolition of the existing Sir David Martin building to make way for the new two storey facility which will connect to, and be an extension of, the recently completed stage one.

Stage two which will commence in September 2015, will extend the home to a further 82 bedrooms with private ensuites, dining rooms, lounge rooms, sitting rooms, courtyards, external footpaths and landscaping.

"Grindley were entrusted with our largest and most complicated project to date. The construction of a 160 bed, $36 million, aged care facility, embedded within our existing 500 bed care precinct at Glenfield. Throughout the project Grindley were responsive to our needs, acted in a timely manner and genuinely understood the value of the relationship."
