Grindley were engaged to replace the landmark Anderledy Lodge building at Mary MacKillop Place in heart of North Sydney and deliver a new accommodation building to compliment the historical significance of this location.
The works involved the demolition of existing structures, protection of heritage buildings and the construction of a new three storey multi-purpose accommodation development with 51 rooms, 37 vehicle basement carpark, multifunction dining and event hall, commercial kitchen and new services loading facility at street level.
External works include services infrastructure upgrades, a new widened footpath and architectural public domain, function lawn and landscaped garden with privacy areas to blend back into the existing spaces.
As part of the construction process, Grindley engaged quality subcontractors to assist with the upgrade of services into other existing buildings to integrate security, fire, access and landscape design for compliance and streamline use.
