Grindley Interiors was engaged by Trinity Management Group to complete the refurbishment of The Huntingdon Gardens Nursing Home in Bexley. The Huntingdon Gardens facility is a split level building of masonry and concrete construction.

Works proceeded with Stage 1 being the relocation of the communications room from Level 1 (basement) to a covered balcony on Level 2. This then enabled Stage 2 and 3 to commence, which included the refurbishment of Level 1 creating a large new commercial laundry and staff areas.

Stage 2 works included the installation of new rubbish and laundry chutes from Level 1 up to Level 4, while the remaining 3 Stages (4 – 6) involved the refurbishment of all resident rooms, common areas and most resident bathrooms.

As the new commercial kitchen in the adjoining facility provides for this existing facility, the scope also incorporated the demolition of the existing commercial kitchen and construction of additional bedrooms and ensuites in its place..

New services were provided throughout, including new lighting, dry fire system upgrade and a complete mechanical system overhaul.
